Your size and weight affect how much load you put on your motorcycle’s suspension. Motorcycle manufacturers don’t know how much the buyer will weigh, so they set up the preload and damping of all of the motorcycles for what they see as the average rider.
If you weigh more or less than the average rider, your suspension may not perform efficiently as intended, resulting in a less comfortable ride and/or less stability.
